I’ve been using the Bookmark feature of Firefox for a long time, where I would categorize the links I visit on folders. So far so good, but when I use another computer my bookmarks don’t follow me. And I have to re-type or probably re-organize all my bookmarks as I did before. del.icio.us on the other hand makes it possible so that your bookmarks are wherever you are. I’m not referring to using the del.icio.us site for this, but using the (absolutely) del.icio.us Firefox extension so that with some minor tricks can always have your (always synced) bookmarks in your Firefox toolbar.
Here’s how my Bookmark Toolbar looked before using the del.icio.us extension:
Here’s how it looks after using the del.icio.us extension and removing completely the bookmarks toolbar:

Altough visually they look the same, I can use the del.icio.us bookmarks layout on every computer, wherever that may be.
In order to do that you’ll need the Delicious Bookmarks extension and of course an account on del.icio.us. After you install the extension, it’ll ask you to login and after you click Finish you’ll see that you have a new toolbar on Firefox that will probably look like this:

Now you right-click on your Firefox toolbar and uncheck Bookmarks Toolbar . Now you have only the del.icio.us toolbar. In order to get the view as you had with the Firefox bookmarks, organized in folders you’ll need to click on the del.icio.us icon and select Manage Favorites as shown below:

Here are my favorite tags:

I used gugl because I have a lot of bookmarks tagged with google but with gugl I’ve tagged some services that I use daily like Google Reader and Gmail, the same goes for nuws. I use the temp tag to tag sites that I find interesting for the moment but don’t visit on a daily basis. This is where you can get creative, but the point is to use tags that will serve you to better identify what you visit.
After you’ve managed your tags, you click on the del.icio.us icon and select Tags view. You’ll see that it will display only the Favorite tags you’ve defined above, as shown here:

It’s up to you what kind of tags you use, but it’s important to use specific tags (you might use even characters like !, @, etc) so that that tag will display the links you want to display. If you have tagged all your photos as photos but want to have links only to Flickr and Photobucket on your toolbar, you wouldn’t be using photos as it would display a large number of links. You might use the tag photosites for example.
This way, when you work on another computer, all you need to do is install the Delicious Bookmarks extension, define your favorite tags and set it to Tags View and you’ll have the same links as you did on your other computer.
This is my first guide/tutorial, so I hope you were with me all along.

This weekend Kosova was a media hot spot, both for traditional media and new media. Here are some of the items that have been posted on the social media:
Flickr
The tag kosova has 5656 photos at the moment. The majority of the photos is related to the Independence.
Some of them:
This one has a nice tag as well:
belle_felur has some very nice photos of the celebrations on New York, make sure you check her set here.
This is the statue that was made for the Day of Independence, it’s creator is this guy.

YouTube
BAC, U KRY! was the most creative, most used, and most meaningful phrase that day. Here’s the guys who did it:
This one is a video when History was made, Hashim Thaci declaring Kosova independent.
Twitter was used to link to videos, pictures, news, emotions. Here’s how the twittersphere looks.
This is all i could collect for the moment. Please share if you find something interesting.

Why ВЕЧЕР sucks.
Well, it sucks because it looks like it’s being printed in Blegrade, and like it’s being distributed to a Serbian audience. ВЕЧЕР sucks because it never showed respect for the Albanians in Macedonia, it always uses an offending language. And to prove my theory i present to you their (for me inciting) frontpage today:

It writes “THE TALEBAN WERE THE FIRST TO RECOGNIZE KOSOVA”.
Read some History before you write something, you bunch of nationalistic zealots!

Time to say goodbye.

I think that Gazeta Express sums up the end of Yugoslavia and it’s relation with Kosova.
P.S. YU is the international ISO code for ex-Yugoslavia, and the people on the front page are (from left to right) Nikola Pašić, Josip Broz Tito & Slobodan Milošević.
